Power of attorney for using the city’s employment services

As a job seeker, you usually use our services personally. However, with a power of attorney, you can authorise another person to manage the matters specified in the power of attorney on your behalf. The matters that your authorised party is allowed to manage on your behalf are defined by you in the power of attorney.

A power of attorney is always prepared in writing. Please use the form available above. Alternatively, you can also prepare a free-form power of attorney, as long as it includes all the information requested in the form template.

A power of attorney can be valid until further notice or for a fixed period.

We will ask your authorised party to present the original power of attorney and their personal ID when they use our services on your behalf. In some cases, we may require you to be present or use our services personally regardless of a power of attorney. A personal assistant does not need a power of attorney because they work together with you.

You cannot use a power of attorney to

• start a job search
• notify us of changes in your job search or discontinuing your job search
• handle matters that require you to be present in person, such as prepare plans.

If your authorised party needs access to confidential information about your financial situation or health to manage your matters, you will need to provide separate consent for this. The consent covers the disclosure of information only to the extent necessary for your authorised party to perform their tasks. If necessary, you can provide your consent in the power of attorney.

Certificate of the validity of job search

You can print out the certificate of the validity of your job search easily via the E-services.

After logging in to the service, you will find a print button for the certificate in the first box on the front page, and clicking on the button will print out your certificate.
