Accessibility statement

This accessibility report describes how our online service complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services. Helsinki wants to achieve level AA or above in its web content accessibility(as specified in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG), whenever this is reasonably possible.

Website accessibility status

A new version of the website was published on 31 October 2022. The revised website has not yet undergone an accessibility assessment and an external audit. We have tried to take the accessibility of the website into account in the best possible way.

The website will undergo a formal accessibility assessment in November 2022. The accessibility assessment will be based the instructions and methods of the City of Helsinki, which aim to ensure the accessibility of the website at all stages. Accessibility is verified through an external expert audit and a self-assessment.

The city ensures the accessibility of its website through continuous monitoring when the technical solutions and content are updated and through periodic audits. This statement will be updated in connection with website changes and accessibility re-assessments.
