Spring 2024 joint applications: Ohjaamo helps with applying to study

Ohjaamo Helsinki’s information events and education fair provide you with information about how to apply in the joint applications and tips on how to choose a field of study that is right for you.

The application period of the spring 2024 joint application to upper secondary education starts on 20 February and ends on 19 March 2024 at 15:00. The studies will start in autumn 2024. In this joint application, you can apply to

  • general upper secondary school
  • vocational education and training leading to an initial vocational qualification
  • vocational education and training organised on the basis of intensive special needs support
  • preparatory education for an upper secondary qualification (TUVA)
  • preparatory education and training for work and independent living (TELMA)
  • folk high school programmes intended for students who are required to attend compulsory education.

The application results will be announced on 13 June 2024 at the earliest.

Spring 2024 second joint application to higher education

In this spring’s second joint application to higher education, you can apply to Finnish and Swedish degree programmes starting in autumn 2024. The application period starts on 13 March and ends on 27 March 2024 at 15.00. Selections based on school certificates will be announced on 27 May 2024. Other application results will be announced by 4 July 2024 at the latest.

Ohjaamo’s information events and education fair

The joint application information events are intended for everyone under the age of 30 looking for a place of study. The events will be held remotely via Teams. For more information and registration links, please see the event pages (in Finnish):

The Ohjaamo education fair will be held on Tuesday 5 March 2024 at 12:00–15:00 at the address Fredrikinkatu 48, Helsinki. The event provides information about and tips for this spring’s education application rounds. The fair will also be attended by several local vocational institutions, which will be showcasing their education and training options.
